One of the major events that prompted charges of Nazism to be made was the use of a Nazi propaganda film by Leni Riefenstahl in one of his videos, “Stripped”. The Jewish ADL wrote Rammstein a letter complaining about the Nazi propaganda footage in this clip. Leni Riefenstahl was Adolf Hitler’s favorite filmmaker. She produced two very well-know Nazi propaganda films. One is Triumph des Willens (Triumph of the Will) which documents the Reichsparteitag (Nazi Party Rally) in 1934 in Nuremberg Germany. The other film is Olympia, scenes of which are incorporated into this Rammstein video.
Rammstein – Stripped
The link below is to a remake of the Rammstein “Stipped” video with Rammstein’s soundtrack overlaid on the more propagandistic scenes from Leni Riefenstahl’s Nazi propada film. Most people haven’t seen the original propaganda film. This video shows you exactly why Rammstein’s video was so objectionable. It is because the video recalls these more propagandistic parts of the film and puts these more fascistic images in the actual context.
